What’s a service like? What’s the music like? Our Sunday services are traditional Lutheran liturgies led by our organist. On the third Sunday of the month, our “Prayer and Praise” service is less formal and more contemporary and we use the piano for this service. We sometimes have special music presentations by our choir, soloists and instrumentalists.
What about my kids? Kids are welcome to attend worship with their parents. At the time of the Pastor’s Message, we offer Sunday School for the elementary school children.
Can I take communion? The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at Emmanuel on the second and fourth Sundays (unless otherwise noted). Lutherans believe that our Lord’s body and blood are truly present “in, with and under” the elements of bread and wine in the Supper and is given to us for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of our faith. We invite to the Lord’s Table those who have been baptized in the name of the Triune God and who have been instructed and believe in this confession. If you will not be receiving the sacrament, it is acceptable for you to remain in your pew when your row is invited forward. If you wish to come forward for a blessing, we ask that you keep your hands folded and your head bowed as a sign that you will not be receiving the elements. Both common cup and individual cup are offered.
Where do I park? We have ample parking at the rear of the church. Our handicap parking is located at the front entrance to the church.
Wheelchair access? We have a lift at our church operated by our ushers. This is accessible through the side glass entrance at the front of the church.
